Inspections
Our service includes the provision of regular site inspections to include the issue of a comprehensive site inspection report together with recommendations on remedial action where applicable.
An inspection should cover all areas of the working environment, work conditions and work methods. They are a valuable way of highlighting potential hazards in the workplace before they cause a health and safety problem. They can take a variety of forms and can include a general inspection of the workplace or inspections of specific or possible dangerous activities, areas or processes.
Inspections should be carried out at least once every three months, however, additional inspections may be needed if there has been;
- A substantial change in the conditions of work (these include new working methods, the installation and use of new machinery or new substances).
- New information has been published by the Health and Safety Commission (HSC) or the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regarding any hazards relevant to the workplace.
- If there has been a notifiable accident, disease or dangerous occurence.
